Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.

Details of the Grave Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

The Police Inquiry

The charges come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

List of Offences

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges include:

  • 15 counts of sexual assault.
  • Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
  • 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
  • 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.

Police are urging anyone with concerns to contact the investigating team.
