Liverpool's Star Offers Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Salah apologised to the group of players after the controversy from his televised remarks.

What Happened

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match subsequent to voicing frustrations and stating his relationship with manager had soured.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

The head coach has previously declined to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

On-Field Response

Their results have been impressive in the period after the interview fallout. He feels the outburst were not designed to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, playing well and on a positive run.”
